Deloitte’s survey of 3,235 leaders across 24 countries finds worker access to AI up 50% in a year while 84% of companies have not redesigned a single job around it, and agentic AI scaling to 74% adoption in two years against only 21% with mature agent governance. The gap it names is between access and activation.
Related, a study from Google: AI has reached occupations covering 88% of US employment, and it is used for 21% of tasks in the median occupation that uses it at all.
