Bike Politics in Amsterdam

Amsterdam doesn’t like fat bikes: “The evaluation of the ban shows that the number of fat bikes in Vondelpark has dropped sharply. Before the ban, 85 to 101 fat bikes were counted in 2.5 hours. More than 3 months later there were 6 to 14.”

And, fat bikes are problems in the US too.

Meanwhile, also in America: “bike infrastructure, particularly physical barriers that separate bikes from speeding cars as opposed to shared or painted lanes, significantly lowered fatalities in cities that installed them.”
