Mark: They’re a threat to human creativity only in the sense that the billionaire thieves and knaves who control so much of the AI Industry and the fascists they promote may yet kill us all. Or they may impoverish us, ushering in an era when no one will have time for art or beauty. I don’t think LLMs are a danger. Working with Claude to accomplish some mundane business tasks implicitly draws on cutting edge hypertext theory. I just wrote a paper about reading afternoon, a story with Claude. It was rather fun.”
