    One word: idealistic.

    Easier to look at 50 years of uncoordinated growth and cry “insane” (indeed, no need actually to *look*!), than to reengineer the whole from scratch.

    the handy expression used to describe companies that strive to “milk” existing customers (including, but not limited to, slum-lords) is “rent seeking”

    2. winning metaphor: enterprise computing is dark matter -all that mass of dollars has to be explained somehow, but it is inscutable if you aren’t part of it

    3. -did your “selling to the enterprise” panel at sxsw happen? [step1: grok how enterprise computing is primarily a social thing and only secondarily technical step2: ref. step 1]

    4. carousel is death! (it still freaks me out to think about it)
