Pumpkins and Websites

Subject: Einstein’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese


I went to the Einstein’s web site today, and it kind of sucked. I just wanted
to link to their pumpkin cream cheese in a blog post, but there was nothing to
link too: they just had broad product pages.

This seems like a lost chance, and a misunderstanding of the web, on their
part: i.e., one of the main points of a business web is to present information
in in ways that’d otherwise be impossible to get, e.g., word of mouth. If
I could link to their pumpkin cream cheese, the micro-population of people who
read drunkandretired.com would know about it. This advertising, aside from the
base price of the web-site, would cost them very little. Uh…or something like
